Thermography-Infrared Thermal Imaging
Infrared thermography or thermal imagings are examples of infrared imaging science. Thermal imaging cameras detect radiation in the infrared range of the electromagnetic spectrum and produce images of that radiation called thermograms. Since infrared radiation is emitted by all objects above absolute zero, according to the black body radiation law, thermography makes it possible to see ones environment with or without visible illumination. The amount of radiation emitted by an object increases with temperature; therefore, thermography allows one to see variation in temperature.
Maintenance technicians use thermography to locate overheating joints and sections of power lines which are a tell-tale sign impending failure. Mercer County Electric has trained technicians able to do Thermal Imaging on your farm, factory, or home. Many insurance companies are now requiring imaging of main transfers, disconnects, breaker panels, light fixtures, etc.

Sensaphone Alarm Systems
Mercer County Electric sells and services Sensaphone Alarm Systems. They have two main units; 400 and 800. Sensaphone Alarms monitor temperature, equipment failure, burglary, fire, and calls to alert a problem.

We offer 24 hour emergency service and have bucket trucks (2) for repair on center poles and night lights, etc. Our servicemen have years of experience and pride in servicing our customers in a timely fashion.
